In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

A once in a lifetime opportunity to see these beautiful, gentle giants. Appreciated that it was a small group and that our guide was in the water with us sharing factoids and answering questions about mantas. Only reasons for 4 stars (instead of 5) we felt a little rushed to get into the water, which is why our 10 year old, who was a little timid going snorkeling at night to begin with, opted to stay on the boat and missed the whole experience. Also, we didn’t get the 50 minutes that we signed up for. We got 35 and, when I asked why, they said they cut the tour short when we see mantas right away. All in all, definitely glad we did it.

We did 2 tours with Hawaii Island & Tour (Mantas feeding and combo of Dolphin & Snorkling. Hayle and Randy are warm, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. I joined them for Manta night feeding but felt so comfortable we let our 15 and 16 year old boys go alone for the combo morning tour and they loved it! They do small tours personal tours - you feel much safer than a big boat with 20 people. Great price - called them and they gave me a great discount bcse i wasnt sure if I wanted to snorkel or just watch my boys - highly recommend them!!!

This adventure is incredible. Come in time to view the sunset. Then sign in and be fitted in a spring wetsuits and snorkeling equipment. We were given a briefing and then whisked off to snorkel with the manta rays. The light attracts them to you as you lie comfortably alongside a board, propped up by a noodle. The rays twist and turn in ballet-like motion, as if dancing only inches away from you. They are graceful. It is as if we are welcomed into their theatre.
