In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

The check in process was easy and we were provided wetsuits to use, although the water was not cold in September. We used them anyway to be more comfortable since part of your body may be exposed to the surface and may get cold if it's windy. We were offered snorkeling masks, but we brought our own since the full coverage masks allow for easier breathing. The boat captain was very nice. The guide who towed us to where the manta rays were was very pleasant and informative. It took a while to find them, but once we did, it was all worth it. The manta rays came up very close to us and there were a couple of times when I thought they'd brush up on us. This was the highlight of our trip. Do not miss this activity!

Highly recommend to do this right when you get to the Big Island. Just incase weather is not permitting, so that you can reschedule during your trip because you should never leave the island without experiencing this!

Great company, they limit the tour to 6 people unlike the others we saw which had upwards of 12 people. The Manta were incredible to see and it was even more amazing than we thought it would be!
