What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
2
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

Not much more to say; absolutely wonderful time. Great staff, food narration and they stopped and diverted to areas where we saw whales, harbor seals, sea lions, puffins and oh, of course, glaciers. We got so close we could hear the popping of the glacier and saw the calving. Super tour, well worth it. Go, you won't be disappointed. As for the comment about sea sickness, you can get that on any boat so why even complain? You can't control the water.

Just finishing our great tour with Major Marine on the Glacier Express. Got so lucky with a beautiful day and all kinds of wildlife. Captain Sarah and crew were excellent and the food/narration were great. Highly recommended.

This is a 6 hour boat tour and as others have written and I experienced first hand today sea sickness can ruin the tour for you, so plan accordingly. The tour company doesn't seem to be adequately informing the guests unfortunately. So please take your dramine and eat a light meal and cut out on alcohol. If you have little kids, it is best not to take them on this tour. Besides that no complains. The captain was ok time and stopped for a good bit at the glacier and other scenic spots.
