What To Expect

Kenai Fjords National Park

In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.

Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

My husband and I took this tour 10 years ago. This time we brought the whole family! One dozen! Excellent tour! Expertly run. And you do see wildlife! You can stand or you can sit and see everything! Amazing! And the kids? They loved it! Even the 8 yr old! To top it off- we were celebrating our 50th and the crew made us a heart shaped chocolate chip cookie! Just the sweetest thing!

I highly recommend this tour. Captain Sheri was awesome. We saw sea otters, sea lions , humpback whales, jellyfish, puffins, a salmon shark and more. It was better than I ever imagined and the kids were thrilled

The weather was windy and very rainy but our experienced Captain and crew managed to show us some incredible views of the glacier and some unique islands and rock formations. We also saw orca and humpback whales too! I was concerned about the trip because of weather but it was fantastic!!
