What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
2
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

We saw over 10 humpback whales (which is rare to see that many), a bald eagle, countless sea lions, puffins, Alaskan “penguins,” ...The boat was very clean. The chicken wrap basket was good. Drink and snack prices were fair. Captain Steve Martin was a knowledgeable narrator.

Great day in late May. Sunny weather and calm seas-we were super lucky. Saw lots of wildlife with good amount of viewing time. Didn't see as many whales as expected. Did see more orcas that I expected. Up close and personal to Holgate glacier. The #1 thing I wanted to do in Seward and very happy we were able to enjoy this excursion without any seasickness. We went on 26glacier in Whittier later in our trip and the Kenai fjord trip far exceeded that trip in terms of wildlife and scenery and at a better price.

Capt Mark and his crew were fantastic! The boat was clean and comfortable. Capt Mark and Emma were highly knowledgeable and great spotters. We saw sea otters, Orcas, Humpbacks, Cormorant, Tufted and Horned Puffins, Harbor Seals and sea lions. LOVED the trip!
