What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
2
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

This was one of the highlights of our Alaska vacation! We were flexible enough to look ahead at the weather and pick a day that looked like it would be clear and we scored! Could hardly have been any nicer. The crew were wonderful. The captain/tour guide was terrific. We saw all the wildlife we wanted to see. Very nice vessel. It was clean, modern and stable. One note - TripAdvisor lists this tour for almost $30 more pp than the concessionaires own site. Thank you TripAdvisor for honoring your low price guarantee.

Captain seemed to really try to find wildlfe to view and rotating the boat to give everyone viewing and photograph opportunities. Captain gets a 5 star, galley a one star. Bring your own food, you are allowed to do so and I would recomend doing that.

I usually take this tour every year. This year was a little more rainy than what it has been in the past. We were still able to see a couple of humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, puffins, etc. Despite the weather, it was still a success!
