This is a day cruise on a large catamaran hull with two enclosed viewing decks and capability to head outside to view from the open decks. Well organised and everything ran like clockwork. Mostly you are in sheltered waters although it was necessary to cross one area exposed to ocean swell, not that there was more than a marginal increase in movement on our trip. We saw sea otters almost immediately ( several live in the marina) and carried on racking up sightings:humpback whales, orcas, Dahl porpoise, stellar sealions, harbour seals, puffins, even a black bear foraging on a clifftop. Spent a good time at the icefield adjoining a glacier, hauntingly beautiful if a bit chilly. Lunch was included, hefty chicken salad wrap, fresh and tasty, with unlimited help yourself tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The day was dank and cold, with light rain falling most of the time, but everyone seemed to have a great time and cameras were in constant action. Sensational for all lovers of nature and wild places. Apparently the heating on the top deck is more effective than that on the lower, worth knowing if you feel the cold.
