What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
2
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

You won’t be disappointed on this trip. We had one of the most pristine days possible, where the water was mirror like, near the glacier. We were blessed with a sunny day- but still it was freezing - so do make sure you wear warm clothes! We saw orca, grey whales, mountain goats and an incredible jaw dropping glacier. This was money well spent!

We had a wonderful day on this trip. We saw a couple of very frisky otters as we exited the harbour. Soon after we saw a small pod of orcas. We saw many whales and some were very close to the boat. We also saw many puffins. On the way back to Seward, we spotted a mother goat and kid, scrambling up the cliff. The commentary on the boat was appreciated, as were the efforts to stop and spend time up close watching the animals and glaciers calving. Inside, the boat was very comfortable and warm. We brought our lunch and bought the unlimited drink deal which was cost-effective. Overall, it was a fabulous day surrounded by incredible scenery. By the way, no matter what the time of year, wear lots of warm clothes because it's very chilly out on the water.

Super viewing opportunities on a sunny day ... both Whale watching and Glacier viewing as well as other wildlife watching. One thing - there are sections of the ride that is super wave lashed and many fall sea sick ... but the stewardess are fantastic to help out in any case...
