What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.

Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

We took a 6 hour tour of Kenai Fjords on 360 boat. It was the highlight of our whole Alaskan vacation!!! Unbelievable views, a ton of wildlife including sea lions, otters, a humpback and orcas. The captain and crew were super knowledgeable and attentive! Thank you for the memories that will last a lifetime!

We Were supposed to do this cruise but the ocean felt otherwise and it got cut from 6 hours to 4. It was still a beautiful experience and they refunded everyone $60 for not being able to do the full tour. A humpback whale did an incredible show for us - the tour company did a great job of staying with him and we saw his tail whip over and over again. We also saw sea lions, puffins, and a sea otter. Lunch was ok. Definitely recommend getting Scopolamine before the trip. I get very seasick and didn't get sick at all. It's a sticker behind your ear and a prescription. Overall good experience even with the bad weather. In Alaska always have waterproof pants, jacket and shoes with you at all times.

Weather was rough, which was not the tour's fault. Other problem with the cruise that were under the control of the company included everyone having to load and wait 45 minutes for tour group to arrive and an unbelievably horrible lunch. The "chicken wrap" was mainly ice cold vegetables. The smell was awful (wet diapers) and it seemed like the wrap was frozen and left to dethaw that morning. There are lots of local places in Seward that could have provided food to the company, no excuse for the mushy mass produced mess served as lunch. No snacks for sale added to the misery.
