Really fun way to see a lot of Ketchikan in a short amount of time. The guides were knowledgeable, but the tour really started 15 minutes late because the one female guide/driver wouldn't shut up and go. We covered a lot of the downtown area in a short amount of time that we would not have seen otherwise. The ocean part of the tour was disappointing as I expected to see some of the crab boats, etc. and we did not do that. Biggest problem was the seating. The row of seats were so close together that it made it almost impossible (I'm 6'-0") to squeeze into the seats. My knees were jammed into the back of the seat ahead of me the whole time to the point that it eventually started to cause me some pain. Still overall a good tour and not that much money. A good way to see the town and get away from the rest of the tourists. Fun but not near as good as it could be. Just lower your expectations some.

We had a great time both driver and young high school tour guide were funny and full of knowledge. Also gave us some fun stories of how the locals do for fun. Make sure they tell you about the first ever McDonalds that is no longer there.

My wife and I just returned from an Alaskan cruise and one port of call was Ketchikan. We decided to take the Duck Tour while we were in port, and were not disappointed. We were greeted by Captain Bruce and Gil, both very funny and informative. As the tour worked its way through the streets of Ketchikan, we were given a lot of local information and stories by Gil. Several funny stories and interesting facts about the gold rush and the way the town came to be. Several stops for pictures of the salmon ladder, original salmon hatchery, Dolly's, Creek Street and so much more. When we entered the harbor Gil pointed out some wildlife to us and shared knowledge with us about Eagles, Salmon, different fishing boats, the local cannery, sea planes and much more. He went around to each person on the duck and took pictures for us and answered any questions we had. Telling us about local places to eat and drink. All of his information was helpful and his humor kept the tour interesting. This tour is a must have when in Ketchikan. Thank you to Captain Bruce and Gil for making it that much better and enjoyable.
