What a disappointment after an amazing snorkel with Islamorada boat tours the previous day. We went out with Sun Diver and first of all it was too crowded to enjoy. Flippers in our face constantly and a really poor choice of sites. Many snorkelers were fins down on a very shallow reef. It wasn't their fault of course being new to the sport but why risk damaging the reef when there are deeper sites in the area. Many times I was concerned about damage to the site. Also the site was very wide and had no landmarks to speak of and we found ourselves wandering around most of the time looking for the good coral. Finally and most importantly one of the staff tall guy who prepped the equipment made multiple comments that spoiled the experience. He criticized our equipment, he criticized the site we had just visited which to be honest was much better in every way to the site they took us to imho. He just had a superiority complex and though I'm no Dive Master, I've done about 20 dives and countless hours of snorkeling I do know which equipment works for me and I don't need someone telling me I'm doing things wrong just because I choose a certain brand or type of gear. If it works for me respect that and keep your comments to yourself if your opinion differs. Overall a big disappointment and next time I will definitely go back to Islamorada.

Staff friendly enough. Equipment average. Reef ok (obviously not controlled by this company). We have been spoiled by a much larger variety of sea life and larger quantity of it during snorkel trips in Hawaii. Staff (Tom, matt, jade) were nice and jade in particular was helpful. They could do more to share about the area; we have been on tours (not just snorkel) where the staff provided historical overview of area and additional information about environment. Again staff nice but did what was necessary to facilitate safe transfer to reef and understanding of snorkeling/rules, but didn't go above and beyond to make experience memorable.

Sundiver Snorkling Tours is a first class operation. The staff at the store where you register were very friendly and explained everything about the trip. We paid for the 4 of us (my wife, myself, my son, and grandson) and bought a few items to make the trip more fun - including a waterproof case for my iPhone 6. The dock is a 3 mile drive from the store. We had an hour to kill before it was time to go, so we drove down US1 and stopped at a couple of stores along the way to browse. Once we arrived at the dock we checked in, and boarded the Sundiver III. The Captain and crew were very friendly and helpful. We got the safety instructions and then they passed out the snorkeling gear to those that rented them. It was a 30 minute ride out to the reef. Once in the water, we had about 90 minutes of snorkeling. We saw hundreds of colorful fish who would swim all around you. It was a great time. We returned to the dock and headed home after a great afternoon.
