I was in Key West for 2 weeks and super excited to book activities for each and every day. I found Sebago on this site and decided to book based on reviews. Unfortunately it was a terrible experience. First off, be prepared to pay $25 for a half day of parking as the check in location is in the most crowded and touristy part of Key West. This is a fact that the reservation sales person conveniently forgot to mention to me when I made the reservation. I would not have gone through with the reservation if I knew this. Next, they packed so many people on the boat there wasn't enough room to sit on the 2 hour journey there and back. And finally they took us out to a super choppy location where I felt totally not safe snorkeling or even being in the water (and I surf all over the world). All of the kids and half of the adults came back onto the boat within 10 minutes. Total waste of money and half the day.

Key West has limited amount of space. Most of us enjoy the small Island feel, clearly this person did not. Not sure why they expected us to inform the about parking, however if they had ask we would have told them. In fact if your visit our website it is one of our FAQ.

We went out on a windy day. The waves were a bit too rough for my kids (6 and 9 years old) to be comfortable attempting their first snorkeling trip. After the kids got in the water, they were afraid to put their heads down and try to snorkel. The staff was quick to help them out of the water and they were kind enough to watch our kids while my wife and I continued to stay in the water. The staff was friendly and we felt very safe on the trip :)

If you want to go snorkeling at Key West, Sebago is a good outfit to go with. It's a 3 hour trip, roughly an hour motoring each way, and maybe a little more than an hour snorkeling. The catamaran is a stable platform, and also accommodates a lot of people. I think there were about 70 on our trip. All gear is provided if you don't want to bring your own. There are drinks provided, and snacks and more drinks available for purchase. You can only consume alcohol after the snorkeling, naturally. The captain and crew were just great. Did a good job explaining what to do and what not to do. They were very engaging with the customers. Of course snorkeling is subject to the whims of weather, and the captain decides where to go based on conditions. We did not get to go to the main reef, but rather a "juvenile" reef. Still saw lots of colorful fish and colorful reef. A final remark: The price for this excursion was very competitive vs. some others I looked at. If your purpose is to get in a good snorkeling trip, Sebago is professional, efficient, safe, and fun.
