Overview

Along with your experienced guide you will paddle at a relaxing pace and explore the shallow, calm, blue-green waters of the back country of Key West. You will glide through the winding mangrove creeks and paddle through inches of water, where you can easily view and learn about the geological structure of the Keys along with its inhabitants, all from the comfort of your kayak. Your adventure will give you a chance to view the mangrove environment up close, along with its marine life including tropical fish, crabs, sea stars, jellyfish, sea cucumbers, sponges and various aquatic birds. Every trip leads us on a different adventure!

I would recommend Lazy Dog. They picked us up at our AirBNB, got us out on the water very efficiently. The guide was knowledgeable and low-key. The tour was interesting and fun. Solid outfit!

Very well organized and run tour. Bethany was our guide and did a great job leading us and pointing out the science and history of the mangroves and the plant and animal species. We didn't go expecting to see a lot of animals, but the info was the right level keeping it interesting without going on too long. They were smart to divide us into two groups with two guides so our group didn't get too large. Easy pick up and drop off from and to our hotel. You will get a little wet from the splashing of the kayak oars, but not soaked unless you capsize, which none of us did. If you want to take your mobile phone, put it in a zip lock bag or rent one of their dry boxes.
