It was clean, not over crowded, well staffed. The staff was courteous despite the inevitable chaos of the kids. We’ve been to the one in Chicago and I think that one felt like there was more to do. While there were only 2 rides, my 5 year old rode each ride about 3 times while we were there. The 4D movie was fun. The large foam legos in the duplo area could have been cleaner but I know that’s difficult when they’re being pawed so often by little ones. There could also have been more of them. The gift shop felt small. The pricing was higher than what you can get at target or Amazon for lego sets by $3-5. I ordered the tickets online and the scavenger hunt activity lanyard. It’s cheaper to do it this way. Also the lego life magazine is free in the mail for kids 5-10 and usually has coupons for free kid tickets with the purchase of an adult ticket. Adding on the sea life ticket online saved money too. So for 2 adults and 2 kids with 2 lanyards to go to the lego discovery center and sea life was about $107. You get actual legos to take home if you do the lanyard scavenger hunt.

We took our 7 year old and we were really expecting a little more fun. He walked around bored. Not really much to get involved with except one station to build a race car and one station to design a tile for a lego wall. The only thing he liked what the Lego displays. The Wizard of Oz was amazing! It would be good for younger little. The only thing that saved this trip from 3 hours away, was that we bought a combo pass to Sea Life. That was really neat. From starfish, stingrays, turtles and seahorses. So much more to sea and interact with. We all enjoyed this way more than Legoland.

There are asylums that are more sane than this place. This was our first visit. There were no instructions, no guidance, no clear understanding of any flow or sense of order or direction. The place is a MESS (literal and figurative). Kids running wild without proper supervision is just the tip of the iceberg. There were very few employees to whom we could pose questions, and those that were there, were all clearly overwhelmed or didn’t care. No one keeps order in a place rampant with kids. I was delighted when my son wanted to leave after about an hour and a half. Absolutely NOT worth the price of admission and we will never go back. It just seems like a poorly conceived Lego cash grab. Beware of the attached retail store…the prices are about 30% higher than Amazon. Finally, if you are concerned about germs or cleanliness - STAY AWAY! In the full two hours that we were there it was clear that they are not and probably CAN NOT adequately clean most items throughout the day. Maybe the rides, but certainly not the legos or most high touch areas, and I seriously doubt they do an adequate job overnight. We were there shortly after they opened, and it already looked like a Lego bomb went off.
