What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Located a few miles from Upper Antelope, Lower Antelope Canyon, known as "spiral rock arches" by the Navajo, is great for those looking for a little hike and a photographer's dream. The lower canyon is in the shape of a "V" and shallower than the Upper Antelope. Lighting is better in the early hours and late morning. Please note: you must arrive no later than 1 hour prior to selected time.

Guides are awesome. Even though 2000 people a day come through during high season they are good at making it like your small group is the only one there so you can get amazing photos. They also help with that - suggesting cool shots! Practically - you are not in the sun but for a few minutes to walk to the canyon. Not cool or hot temperature-wise. Highly recommend! If you read online, there are certain hours that get recommended over others - it doesn’t matter. It’s an amazing experience at any hour. The light plays so wonderfully with the canyon walls at any time of day.

We arrived for a 1:00 tour and legitimately right before we got to the trail we were told someone was injured and there would be a delay. Which is no big deal, I hope they’re okay. But oh my gosh… the lack of communication from the staff was unbelievable, there had to be 75+ people sitting around for TWO HOURS with no idea when/if we would be going out! The tour itself was great! We had Kennedy and he was awesome and fun!

Amazing, we are in a big Awe when we experience it and see it with our own naked eyes, to top it off our guide tour Ken is very Knowledgeable, has a lot of patience, and share us the story of the canyon. He took some good pictures for us. All I can say is picture does not do justice, you have to see it on your own eyes and experience it to believed it. Thank you for the experience
