Love learning about NYC, especially since I work there. There’s nothing better than being able to give someone an interesting tidbit about the city they work in, or are visiting. The Untapped remnants of Dutch New Amsterdam provided so many historic gems that are right before our eyes. The tour guide was fantastic, weaving an interesting historic narrative of lower Manhattan. Bringing to light important historic spots that most walk by, and miss out on. Highly recommend this tour, then after continue exploring this great neighborhood.

Mandy Edgecomb is the best historic, anthropologic guide in the United States. Bar None. Her passion and enthusiasm for her tour re the Dutch history, and it’s influence, on the development of NYC, and by default, the world is beyond contagious. If you’re in NYC and looking for a walking tour, you have not lived a full life if you don’t take this tour with her. Mandy, is, in a word, superb. This tour gives you an adept understanding of the early development of the island of Manhattan and how it got to where it is today. It is the best two hour history tour one can have. We took this as a private tour with Mandy in late November and had a wonderful 2 plus hours with her. If everyone was as enthusiastic as she is about her job and interest in the world around us we would all be better off.
