Luau Kalamaku with Buffet Dinner & Show

Overview
Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Was a great show probably the best I’ve seen in many many years coming to the Hawaiian islands I would recommend this show to anybody that comes to Kawai

This was absolutely not a luau. It was a buffet dinner and a show with over 200 people there under a huge metal roof. While the food was good (except for the dessert) and the show was very entertaining, it did not remotely resemble a Hawaiian luau and to label it as a luau is misleading. For those of you looking for a genuine luau, I suggest looking elsewhere.

We opted to add the premiere seating to our package which is a must to see this show! We could feel the heat from the stage. Dinner was good, but wish there were more traditional Hawaiian dishes.
