Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The dancers were excellent. I learned about their culture through song and dance. Best luau by far I've ever seen. Very professional, beautiful and enthralling.

Wonderful show - and story behind it all. Just wonderful. Family atmosphere. The food was ok, the roast pork had no flavor, the desserts, however, where super delicious. Unfortunately they had no gift shops - but expensive vendors under tents which were hard to get to as I use a walker to walk. Awesome performance.

The show was pretty amazing. Great stories and performances. Loved that they come walking down the aisles and also have "scenes" in other areas. Big open space with the stage in the center. We sat at a round table of 10 fairly close to the stage. These seats are better than the long tables. As for the food, it can be better with more options but it was decent.
