Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The show was the best we have seen on all our trips to Hawaii. The Fire Dancing was amazing and the story of Kauai added a great historical perspective that our whole family enjoyed.

Absolutely fabulous luau experience on Kauai. We’ve been to all of them on the island and this one was fabulous! Loved the story line for the show. The showmanship was top notch! The service was wonderful, although we would have liked a little more attentiveness with water refills at the table. The Kailua pork was very tasty, just a bit too salty for my own taste, but i still went back for seconds!! 😀 Open bar, open buffet… everything on the buffet was wonderful! Make sure to take the train ride, it’s well worth it and you just might learn something new. 🤙
