Luau Kalamaku with Buffet Dinner & Show

Overview
Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Very entertaining, talented performers. I enjoyed the food and vendors as well. It was a long event, especially for younger kids, but my 4 year old really enjoyed the show.

This luau was amazing. I enjoyed the show because it covered a lot of hawaiian legends and lore. The food was so good! The only downside was that when our section was released to the buffet line many of the food items were needing to be restocked however the wait staff were rapidly trying to fill the food items. But I didn’t get to try all food items. The bar drinks were included with the meal. Would definitely recommend this luau for those visiting the island.

Went to the plantation grounds for a train ride, craft display, buffer dinner, and a exciting flaming torch show. The show presents a story of a father and his daughter. It is a Hawaiian story line displayed through about 12 vignettes with beautiful costumes, people, music, and dance. We enjoyed the show and food. Just watch the torches!
