Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Fantastic event - the performers are all incredibly talented. The music, singing, and outfits were all outstanding. I learned so much about Hawaii’s rich history. The food was solid as well. Dessert ran out a bit quickly but my fellow attendees and I were able to try everything. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed a beautiful Tuesday night. Highly recommend the luau!

A large group table with random guest placings. Met some delightful people and a man who was on his phone the whole time (poor wife & kids!). Food was good, show was excellent, alcohol plentiful (but no coffee to curb it).

EXCELLENT, We went January 2024 and It was so exciting, colorful and fun. We cannot wait to go again, food was so good too.
