Great tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared many little known information about President Washington and his family. Afterwards he treated us to a brief car tour of Old Arlington and gave us great tips for other sights to see in DC.

Thanks for taking the time to review my tour! Reviews like yours help people understand that my private tour is so much different from all the bus and van tours of Mount Vernon.

Ken was a really wonderful guide. He was waiting for us at us at the designated spot in Alexandria and drove us to Mt Vernon, providing some history commentary on the way. His knowledge of Mt Vernon has to be unsurpassed, and his easy-going, friendly demeanor (along with some gorgeous weather) made for a perfect morning. He also gave us a quick overview of Alexandria, along with restaurant suggestions, at the conclusion. Having a couple of bald eagles fly over Washington's estate while we were there was just the cherry on top.

Hi John. I appreciate all the kudos and compliments! You were great guests and I hope you come again. No extra charge for the eagles. I think you would also enjoy my afternoon tour as well next time. The Museum of the US Army is very impressive (mostly historical), and at Pohick Church you could sit in George Washington's pew! Gunston Hall and Woodlawn Plantation are very interesting, as is Frank Lloyd's Usonian house. Happy travels - Ken

Ken was a superb tour guide. Very knowledgeable and patient. He was great with the kids and had the right balance among information: not to much and not to little - keeping it interesting Washingtons home was a great visit and recommend it to anyone interested in GW and American History

Hi Anthony. Thanks for the great review and for booking with me. It was a pleasure introducing your family to Mount Vernon. And I look forward to some good Italian food next time I go up to Bergen County based on your recommendation. Come again.
