Dom has made the perfect 21st century tour. He combines the old with the new to discuss Brooklyn's history, architecture, the companies that grew from Brooklyn and the business planting their seeds in the current "maker movement". Whether you know nothing about Brooklyn or if you've lived here for 50 years (we had both types on ours) this is the tour for you. I look forward to going on another!

Dom, a Brooklyn-native, took my brother, my father and me on a topnotch, one-of-a-kind look at the neighborhood of Red Hook and its local artisans and merchants. We popped into a winery, a distillery, a metal-working shop, a printing press, a pie store, and more. At each location Dom has fostered personal relationships with the artists and owners, all of whom were friendly and happy to take time out of their days to chat and answer questions. Between stops you get to enjoy a little light walking and chatting with Dom, who was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with, not only knowledgable about all things Brooklyn and NY, but a genuinely friendly, nice guy, and very flexible based on our interests and what we wanted to do with our time in Red Hook. My only regret is that we didn't sign up for his Bensonhurst tour, as this is the neighborhood where he was born and raised; I imagine that particular tour must be incredible. I can't recommend Made in Brooklyn enough.

As one who has been on tours in virtually every continent, I have to say that Don's Made in Brooklyn tour ranks as one of the best. Even though it was a cold December day, Don's home baked knowledge of Brooklyn and his enthusiasm for what he does, made it a great day for myself and my family. The inclusion of visits to the new entrepreneurs of Brooklyn really brought to life the new emerging made in Brooklyn enterprises.Unlike many tours which bring you to places with pressure to buy goods, these visits had none of this and the visits were clearly to learn and experience. I signed up for this tour wanting to know something of Brooklyn, and even though it focused on Red Hook with its fascinating history, the tour actually gave me a great overview of Brooklyn itself. High marks to Don for a great experience!!! Brad G
