What To Expect

Port of the Islands Marina

The 90 minute covered boat Tour departs from Port of the Islands Marina every 45 minutes daily 365 days per year.

Manatee Sightseeing & Wildlife Adventures

Experienced nature loving Coast Guard licensed captains to narrate the tour in a manner that resonates with children/adults of all ages. Manatees in the wild may be in the harbor area, the residential bays, or in the exciting mangrove forest. Manatees come to the boat over 90% of the time. Patrons enjoy matching birds in the trees to the provided Everglades bird Card. There is a max of 6 passengers per boat. Family groups of 7-42 will use multiple boats staying close.

Had a great time on our tour. We took the earliest time slot. We had no trouble finding the marina driving from Marco island. Captain John was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. He had some fantastic jokes that made the tour fun and enjoyable. It was very cool seeing the wild manatees, alligators and wild birds. I would definitely recommend

Our guide, Captain John, was very knowledgeable about where to find the manatees and did not disappoint. Everyone had plenty of time to take pictures and watch. We saw five on our trip and he pointed out an alligator and a black fin shark as well. He paid attention to all passengers, joked around and was overall great. He told us a little bit about himself and how he came to captain the boat, and he gave lots of history of how the dock and marina were built and how the manatees were attracted to the area. He was able to answer all of our questions about the manatees as well.

We had a great time on our tour. Captain Andrew was very knowledgeable. We saw several manatees. We loved having Bella (his dog) on the tour with us. She was the sweetest more chilled dog we had ever seen. It was an added bonus to the trip.
