What To Expect

Port of the Islands Marina

The 90 minute covered boat Tour departs from Port of the Islands Marina every 45 minutes daily 365 days per year.

Manatee Sightseeing & Wildlife Adventures

Experienced nature loving Coast Guard licensed captains to narrate the tour in a manner that resonates with children/adults of all ages. Manatees in the wild may be in the harbor area, the residential bays, or in the exciting mangrove forest. Manatees come to the boat over 90% of the time. Patrons enjoy matching birds in the trees to the provided Everglades bird Card. There is a max of 6 passengers per boat. Family groups of 7-42 will use multiple boats staying close.

Captain John was great!! Relaxing and educational experience! Bring water and polarized sunglasses. Kids enjoyed...took lots of pictures.

Captain Kohl’s explanations, anecdotes and stories made the sight seeing a spectacular experience. We saw a mom manatee with her son and then a float of alligators. We loved the outing!

We got to see a herd of four manatees, which was really cool. Captain Ron was our boat captain, he was terrible. He just drove the boat, he barely interacted with the passengers. Most tour guides are entertaining and are full of information, he was the worst guide I’ve ever experienced.
