What To Expect

Port of the Islands Marina

The 90 minute covered boat Tour departs from Port of the Islands Marina every 45 minutes daily 365 days per year.

Manatee Sightseeing & Wildlife Adventures

Experienced nature loving Coast Guard licensed captains to narrate the tour in a manner that resonates with children/adults of all ages. Manatees in the wild may be in the harbor area, the residential bays, or in the exciting mangrove forest. Manatees come to the boat over 90% of the time. Patrons enjoy matching birds in the trees to the provided Everglades bird Card. There is a max of 6 passengers per boat. Family groups of 7-42 will use multiple boats staying close.

The whole trip was amazing! We saw a ton of these gentle beauties and Captain Rich was very informative and chill. I def recommend, and as an added bonus there was a huge gator in the marina upon our return!

Wow this was fantastic! Captain Rich was so knowledgeable and you could tell how much he loved these gentle elegant creatures He knew exactly where to find them Closed the main boat engine down so as not to hurt or alarm them when we were close. His knowledge and experience about all the animals was excellent. We even had a look at the skeleton of a manatee (plastic!) on the return journey Rich explained the evolution of the manatee We took the 10:00 trip

We booked this tour for a bachelorette weekend activity. It was easy to find the doc, and immediately felt welcomed by Captain John. He answered all of our ecological questions, made us laugh, and showed us manatees, sharks, and tarpon. Great experience with a wonderful captain! Defininrelogy a highlight of our trip, and would recommend!
