What To Expect

Key Largo

Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well. For those booking a 2 or more guests, we will automatically assign tandem (2 person) kayaks to those travelers. Travelers requesting single kayaks…please call the store at 395.451.3018 after booking to request single kayaks.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Seeing the wildlife and jellyfish was amazing. Very pleasant part of our day and relaxing. Tour guides were great as well!

The tour itself was worth going on. I would recommend this vs exploring by yourself. It would be really easy to get lost in the Mangroves without a guide. The guide Andy seemed knowledgeable but we were in the back of the group and missed a lot of what was said. My biggest complaint and reason for the 3 stars was that the kayaks were all 2 seater. Apparently you had to call and request a single kayak if you didn't want to be stuck in the same boat as your friend. I would have much preferred a single kayak and didn't find out until it was too late that we had to share My second complaint was that another guest on the tour was a smoker and we got stuck behind him in the Mangrove Tunnels and kept getting his nasty cigarette smoke blown in our faces. I don't think this is the tour company's fault as you can't always control other people's behaviors but it did distract from the natural beauty of our surroundings.

We try to accommodate all kayak requests, and I’m sorry that we were unable to accommodate you’re request for singles instead of tandems…so I will definitely look into this, Maybe if you can reach out to me..this will help…305.522.1300. As for the rest. We do try to discourage smoking on the tour, and there is no set order for the kayaks, so just letting your guide know might have corrected this problem. Sorry again. My husband and I had a blast. Loved the mangrove tunnels. It was very relaxing and the guide was great.
