What To Expect

Key Largo

Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well. For those booking a 2 or more guests, we will automatically assign tandem (2 person) kayaks to those travelers. Travelers requesting single kayaks…please call the store at 395.451.3018 after booking to request single kayaks.

Kayaking through the mangroves was awesome. We went at high tide, so it was a little tricky navigating through some of the tighter spaces, but it's all part of the experience and our 8 and 11 year olds loved it. Mike was a great guide, explaining about different parts of the mangrove forest and wildlife. Highly recommended!

Kind of a let down. We were very excited to paddle this park. Luck of the draw we didn't see much wildlife. We saw a bunch of jelly fish, a red crab and a few fish species. Beautiful clear water. Just not the right place at the right time I guess. The tour company provides a lot of extras which is awesome. They were very friendly and enjoyable. We paddled during high tide.

Janet was a phenomenal guide. She was educational and fun to kayak with! She was a hoot and we enjoyed having her. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does! You could EASILY rent a kayak yourself but DON’T, you will miss so much. Janet knew what to watch for and pointed out all the things you want to see but will miss if you go out on your own. We had a group of 5 women, four experienced, myself being a newbie. She was kind and patient with it being my first time. I surprised myself with how well I did after some tips and tricks from her. All equipment we used was top notch and they even had snacks. A Keys MUST DO!! Thank you Janet!
