Our guides are certified Advanced Master Naturalists and South Florida natives who have been paddling most of their lives and guiding tours for over 10 years. Our groups are small or private usually 10 guests or less providing a personal experience. Smaller groups also increase chances of observing a vartiety of wildlife from a closer distance.

What To Expect

West Lake Park

Our journey begins with a short instruction and safety briefing as we prepare to kayak through pristine mangrove trails. We will start our paddle in calm secluded cove which will allow ample practice before heading out. Paddle through winding mangrove tunnels and observe native birds and other wild life, including many endangered species, in their natural habitat.The conditions in this area are usually calm providing a pleasant experience. Once you book, we'll get in touch and answer any questions you may have.

Ariana was a fantastic guide. I was thrilled only person booked for 11am tour group, had great, very personalized, time kayaking the canals and mangrove tunnels at West Lake Park. Learned a lot about red, white and black mangroves and the animals around there. Got to hold a mangrove crab and play with it for awhile, saw lots of different kinds of birds too. Didn't see manatees, dolphins or sting rays or sharks - but sure they'de of been there if gone earlier in the day Great time, well worth the it

We took the 2-hour guided kayak Mangrove Tunnel tour through the mangrove swamp which we were able to book just a few days in advance. We were lucky in having the guided tour all to ourselves (just the two of us) and good weather. We booked the morning time slot to avoid really hot or rainy weather. Salty Souls met us at the West Lake Park boat ramp and provided all the necessary equipment. Our guide, Arianna, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the aquatic flora and fauna. It was enjoyable and educational to get out on the water with her guidance. I recommend this activity if you are visiting the area and I would do it again.
