Manta Magic - Night Manta Ray Snorkel At Manta Village, Kona, Hawaii

Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

Truthfully the staff was the best part! They had a ton of knowledge, were super friendly, and were all around just good vibes!!! I wish we could’ve stayed in the water a little longer for the price but it was all around a great time!!!!!!!! Would definitely go again!

The crews are very good, explain everything about the Manta Ray, the region, the ocean, very communicative and they made sure not leaving anyone behind. We were a little bit late for the trip and they made sure we were able to on board. Fantastic trip, saw two female Manta Rays and stayed for about 20minutes with them

Fabulous experience. We have snorkeled/dived many places all over the world. This is just an experience you won't get without going on a booked excursion. Several in my group get motion sickness. This is a 3 minute boat ride so no worries about motion sickness. The crew is a great one. You can't get any closer to manta rays than this. Love the size of this operation. There were several boats out there w 20+ people. Also, the wetsuits they provided were brand new and they had strap-on ankle floaties were genius. You have to lay flat on water to avoid touching the mantas. Some companies had their people wearing fins and/or legs suspended by pool noodles. Go with this crew!
