Manta Magic - Night Manta Ray Snorkel At Manta Village, Kona, Hawaii

Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

Had a great experience and the guys were awesome!!! Wetsuit is provided per request for no extra charge, which is super nice. Both Hunter and Jason were very knowledgeable, fun and very helpful! We've seen a bunch of Manta rays (around 8-10) and they were super close to us, right in front of our faces. Such a great experience! Highly recommend!

Hunter and Jason were great! The experience with the Mantas is one of a kind and their knowledge made it even more fun! All the mantas have names and are identified by the markings on their bellies. I could not believe how close they got to me… it was hard not to unintentionally touch them when they get so incredibly close. Amazing

These guys were awesome! We did both the Manta Ray and Dolphin tours with them. They were very knowledgeable, fun, and made us feel safe. The Manta Ray Trip was a quicker trip as they are right in the bay and come right up to you! For the Dolphin Trip the dolphins weren't showing themselves for the first part of the trip so our guides took us to Kealakekua Bay for snorkeling, gave us a history lesson of the area, showed us some Lava Caves along the way, and we're also going to let us do a Manta Ray swim as well but right at the end of Tour they found 2 pods of dolphins for us to swim with.
