Manta Magic - Night Manta Ray Snorkel At Manta Village, Kona, Hawaii

Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

Manta Magic Night Snorkel- Awesome experience!! Highly recommend!! They are such beautiful creatures to encounter up close. It's so surreal when the first one comes up and you realize how big they are! It is a very easy adventure that is so worth it! My kids (ages 9 and 12) LOVED IT also!!! They wanted to do it again the next night lol. This is going to be a new must do everytime we come to the Big Island! You also get to see the sun set on the water at the 6:30 tour, which was another plus I loved. BIG THANKS to the crew, Kioke gets you started, he is super nice and knows a lot about the island! Justin and Hunter on the boat are great! They are so helpful and know what they are doing. They know lots of information about the Manta Ray's which is really cool. They are both funny and Hunter is very animated with you in the water (which I loved)! We got to see Chloe the Manta that was hurt from a boat and she was one of the bigger Ray's. Super cool!! Thanks again!

The manager, guide, and captain were great. This activity is a MUST do while in Hawaii. You really get to be up close and personal with the Manta Rays.

The experience was absolutely breathtaking! The manta rays were enormous in person (way bigger then I thought). I would recommend this to anybody the tour is a must go!!! The crew we were with was amazing Hunter I think his name is was very knowledgeable about the ocean & the rays.
