Manta Magic - Night Manta Ray Snorkel At Manta Village, Kona, Hawaii

Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

We had a great time snorkeling to see manta rays. The crew were very helpful, informative, and made the trip a lot of fun & very safe. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a snorkeling adventure!

We did the sunset Manta Magic tour last night with Jason and Dylan - would highly recommend! The guys were super friendly and personable and really made the trip fun for us. My son, age 9, had an absolutely wonderful time and I felt comfortable with having him with us during the trip with such a knowledgeable (and lifeguard certified) crew. We felt lucky to be in one of the smaller Manta groups and really enjoyed snorkeling and looking for daytime Mantas before the “big finale” This company is also Green List Certified - which means they take extra precaution to take care of the animals and the reef! The Manta were so beautiful and come so close to you during the tour. Definitely a must do on Big Island!

This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Truly majestic fish! Such a great company. We did a day swim and saw soooo many manta rays and a night snorkel with many more. The manta rays literally ran across my stomach. Saw puffer fish, octopus and manta rays. The guys were super laid back and friendly. Very knowledgeable and passionate. They are green company too, so they follow all guidelines to respect and preserve the coral reef. I learned and saw so much on this excursion. Id do it over and over again.
