Absolutely wonderful tour! We loved walking around the town learning all the ā€œunknownā€ history that you never learn about anywhere else. Chief is a great storyteller with a charismatic personality. Highly recommend! 5 STARS

Your group was such fun. Thank you so much! Our history here is vast and so important to our American story. I am amazed that archeologists studying here have now discovered Precambrian remains dating back many, many years on the south end of our island. Wow! It would seem that we are not only ā€œThe Land of Beginningsā€ when it comes to our American history as wellā€¦ Please visit us again and see the migration of the Tundra Swan during the winter. Be well and safe travels.

After my girlfriend read all the excellent reviews about this tour, she insisted that we go on it the next time we were in Manteoā€¦. Which happened to be 16 September 2022. There were about 12 people in our tour group which made it extremely fun being a relatively small group. Chief Dā€™Ambra interacted with everyone throughout the tour. Chief gave an amazing tour with his knowledge of Manteo history and legends. He held everyoneā€™s interest with his theories and stories from the first English settlement in the New World that was found abandoned through present day events. Along the way he spoke of Manteo legend Andy Griffith and the things Mr. Griffith had done in the town of Manteo. If you wish to learn the history of Manteo and the area around it, we highly recommend this tour. If you decide to take the tour, tell the chief that Mary, Todd, Jan and Mark influenced you to take his fantastic historical walking tour.

Wow! I am truly honored by your comments! We are so glad that you joined us for our very special tour in Manteo. We really try hard to make our tour enjoyable and capture the quaint spirit of the townā€™s history. Many who visit here have no idea of the significance that this small town in eastern North Carolina played in our American story. It is truly astonishing and bar none the most historic place in the US for Anglo-American history. Thanks for sharing and for going on our tour. Please visit again and have safe travels. Remember, you are now and forever a special part of the living history which is the Outer Banks!
