Visiting Marco Island from NY and wanted to have some sort of a small boating experience so we decided to do the bird, dolphin and shelling 2 hour boat ride. The boat only holds 17 passengers with seating around the outside of the 27 foot Boston Whaler. There is no cover so bring sunscreen, sun glasses and a hat. We hat one hat overboard so the first mate fished it out of the water with a net which added more fun to the trip. Captain Joyce not only made sure we saw dolphins, she made sure they gave us a spectacular show as they jumped, rolled and danced in our wake! Stopping at the shell island was a nice break and we each received a shell collecting bag. Everyone had a great time! Definitely recommend the ride, especially for children and families!

Our guides were 2 women who were friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. They were kind and helpful, without being too “in your face”. We saw lots of dolphins and many species of birds. The boat was a bit on the uncomfortable side though, 2 metal benches - one on each side of the boat, with no cushioning. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t proper seats when I booked. It was ok for me & my children, but not great for my 80 year old parents. The boat is also unshaded, which was great if you want us be in full sun, but a shade option would have been helpful.
