One of the best places to see the sunset and stargazing and it's also the highest mountain on earth. Comfortable 4X4 passenger van as transportation.Jackets and gloves provided to keep you warm. Get close to the stars with our professional Celestron telescope and get a nice photo with our DSLR camera.

Great tour guide, but the trip should have been cancelled as the weather was bad with almost no stars to gaze. Quite a let down. If it wasn’t for the awesome lava eruptions, the trip would have been a total bust.

The whole trip was well organized and it was a great experience being at 14,000 feet. Our driver/guide was excellent, providing us with local information of the area and culture. The star gazing was also a nice experience.

The view from the top of Mauna Kea is stunning. You feel like you're on top of the world. It will make you decide quickly whether climbing Mt Everest in your future because you might get a touch of altitude sickness. But the experience is well worth a little discomfort. It is very cold up there. Wear warm clothes and hat. A bonus for us was seeing the Mauna Loa eruption. Spectacular.
