The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was surprisingly good. Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. We saw a few whales from a distance. Wish we could have seen them closer but they were shy.

The Meares Glacier excursion was great. The ship was comfortable and the crew was great. The Meares Glacier was beautiful and the cruise was also beautiful.

This is a fabulous day and you are assured of seeing lots of wildlife. Try to get a window seat on the right side (facing the pointy end of the ship) on the top deck . Our route followed the shoreline and this seemed the side for better viewing. You can always walk outside, but leave something on your table so people know it is already taken. Also, it will be nice to have a table at lunchtime when they come around with the clam chowder (delicious!), bagel and oreo cookies. There is complimentary coffee, tea and lemonade all day long. Some people in our group brought snacks, but I thought the included lunch was enough. It is a great day, though it can be cold and windy - especially near the glacier. So dress in layers and bring a hat, gloves and binoculars. Pray it doesn’t rain. I thought this excursion very worthwhile
