This is a must do if there is any chance you can get to Valdez! The crew was super friendly and helpful. The entire day we were able to see breathtaking views and witness Alaska wildlife up close and personal! This is a 100 out of 10 experience with memories we will hang onto for a lifetime!!

We went out on 29 June 2021, start was foggy but we popped out eventually and man was it amazing! We saw three whales, harbor seals, stellar sea lions, blue herons, mountain goats and a black bear! They do a great job getting you up close and personal and give you a good heads up to get out and see the wildlife and glacier no matter your seat.

Superb trip on the Meares Glacier cruise on the Glacier Spirit boat. If you can schedule it, opt for this tour over Columbia (which is difficult to get close to due to icebergs). You can get about a 1/4 mile from Meares’ terminal face and see some truly spectacular scenery. Captain Amanda did a wonderful job narrating the experience and spotting and describing wildlife and the ecosystem and the local history in vivid detail. The crew were kind and helpful. Lunch was nicer than expected, and free coffee, tea, and lemonade was appreciated, as was the reasonably priced binocular rental. Overall, a great experience.
