Cruised from Whittier, AK to Valdez, AK on a sunny and gorgeous day. Not much wildlife to be seen, unfortunately, but the cruise was spectacular anyway. All staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We took a side trip to Meares glacier to see it close up and were not disappointed as it calved several times while we were there. Dinner was served and was quite good.

It have been awesome!! The ship is really new and comfortable. It have heater inside but you can go outside whenever you want. The Capitan are very friendly as well as the rest of the stuff. The Capitan continuously explain all the things, about the animals, the history of the zone, the salmon fishing, etc We have done the Meares Glacier Excursion. The glacier views are astonishing! We can saw a very big piece of ice falling to the sea! During the journey, we have seen all the wildlife that we expected: orcas, dall's porpoise, sea otters, black bear, sea lions, bald eagles, puffins, etc etc If you go to Valdez on summer, you must take the cruise! We we t to Valdez last minute due to a friend commenting that the ride to Valdez was pretty - pretty was an u derstatement. Valdez is magical. We went on tbe Meares glacier tour with Stan stevens and it was beyond belief. The crew was friendly and awesome, the food was great, the boat clean and safe. We saw every animal imaginable- the captain went out of his way to find them and stuck around. We saw every seabird - puffins etc we saw Dahls Porpoise, sea lions, big eyed harbor seals on sea ice, orcas with babies, and the highlight was a humpback whale enjoying his day - he breached at least ten times and slapped the water with his fin! We also were lucky to see salmon fishing by the fishing boats- our captain was excellent in narrating- I had never intended to do this cruise- We were just going to do the Kenai fjords cruise out of Seward- this ruined that cruise !! No comparison. Best cruise/ tour in Alaska!
