Interesting history of shipwrecks and treasure hunting around the Keys. Teachers and students would be especially interested in the artifacts and pictures.

They have an extensive collection of artifacts and treasure from the wreck of Spanish galleon Atocha, which sank in a hurricane off the Florida Keys in 1622. The small museum can easily be done in 30-minutes and features cannons, pottery, everyday personal objects and of course gold and silver bars, jewelry, coins and treasure of every type! There is a rotating exhibit on the second floor which is included with the general admission.
