The museum was incredible. After searching for 14 years, the work began to restore & exhibit the treasures. The emerald & gold cross meant for Pope Gregory was fabulous. Very interesting museum.

We were a party of 4 and we all loved visiting this museum. It's filled with facts not only about his searching for and finding an astonishing treasure trove, but gives information on pirates, Spanish royalty, and the slave trade. The amount of treasures is astounding and is one of the best collections. The film at the beginning of the tour was filled with information so don't skip it.

The Florida Keys are rich in maritime history and this museum is a tribute to one part of that history. We enjoyed the story of Mel Fisher's search for and commitment to an underwater treasure trove from a shipwrecked Spanish galleon. The dangers and hardships of life at sea in the 1600's is apparent after taking this tour. This exhibit is excellent for families.
