This was an enjoyable little site to see. So much to see in the sea. You learn that you could do easily over look treasure at your feet in the ocean. My only disappointment was they no longer have the gold bar in the case that you could puck up. Due to they people thatstole it years ago.

We had visited the museum on a previous visit with some friends who where interested in buying some Spanish coins. There is a small jewelry shop in the rear that sell these items. A guard will let you in. We returned to see the rest of the artifacts. It's very interesting but not a must do unless you are interested in pirates and such.

I thought this was well worth the cost of admission. The story of this lost treasure and how it was found is pretty interesting. I love history and this exhibit covers centuries of cultures and events. It was great to do in the middle of the day when the heat was a bit much outside. They no longer allow you to handle the gold artifacts because apparently someone was able to laser cut a gold bar and remove it from its container. It has since been found and its thief prosecuted, but it ruined things for the rest of us who can no longer handle the gold in our own hands. Still worth the trip! Enjoy. Definitely get the audio that costs an additional $2.
