We had beautiful weather to enjoy the amazing scenery as we floated down the Mendenhall River. Tanner was an exceptional guide as he did all the work to get us through the rapids. My biggest disappointment were the rapids. There weren't that many of them, and they weren't too rough. It was fun, but didn't last long enough for the cost. I asked if they were class 3 and was told they're really class 2 (most of the time) but they label them as class 3 because of the water temperature (35 degrees). If you're looking for an enjoyable raft ride with a few bumps along the way, this is a great way to spend some time in Juneau. If you're looking for an adventure, you might want to look into something else. When you walk back the bus, be sure to check out the view of the mountains. I took my favorite picture of the entire trip there.

Glad you had a fun time. The water was a bit slower than normal as we were in the midst of a dry spell. A real oddity for our rainforest. Not too long before your trip we had to shut down the float due to a glacial dam break and caused the river to flood (class 4 and 5). Thanks for choosing us and sharing your experience with us. This was a really fun trip. It was very well organized and it was a great use of our day in Juneau. The view of the Mendenhall Glacier is incredible and the river rafting was really entertaining. TANNER HARLY was a great guide and helped make this a worthwhile endeavor.
