Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. What To Expect

Mendenhall Glacier

Guests will spend 60-90 minutes hiking around the rocky moraine and exploring near the Mendenhall Glacier.

The entire Mendenhall Glacier ICE Adventure Tour operates in the Tongass National Forest, the largest National Forest in the United States.

Ryan and Andrew were the best guides ever. They made sure that we had enough time on the glacier, gave us plenty of breaks on the canoe, provided snacks and hot drinks, and were overall a joy to work with. Had a lot of fun. Andrew and Casey were awesome guides. Took some fun pictures. Arms are sore from canoeing and glacier trekking was not too difficult. Sky was cleared. Beautiful day for the tour.
