Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. What To Expect

Mendenhall Glacier

Guests will spend 60-90 minutes hiking around the rocky moraine and exploring near the Mendenhall Glacier.

Wow, I would give 6 stars if I could. Ben and Casey were awesome guides. We had a great trip. Started with a pretty easy paddle 2 miles or so across Mendenhall Lake. Beautiful scenery. The glacier had calved an iceberg a few days before we got there. It was really cool and huge. We got to base of glacier and Casey found a great path to an ice cave that was newly formed, absolutely amazing. We then hiked up on the glacier and were amazed by the colors. The overcast and fog made the blue colors pop even more. I definitely highly recommend this tour. The highlight of our cruise.

This was the first thing I booked when I decided to go on an Alaskan cruise. This excursion was the best part of the trip I can't recommend it enough. Our guides Joey and Ryan were very knowledgeable about the entire area and took phenomenal care of everybody on the trip. An amazing experience and very shocking to see how much the glacier had disappeared from May to when we were there in early September. Go experience this unique place while you can.

It is quite amazing to see the difference in what the ice looks like from day to day and then month to month! The Mendenhall Glacier is always changing so each and every tour is different.
