Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour

Overview
Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. This tour is a MUST DO while visiting Juneau. Our group was lucky enough to be able to go inside an ice cave. It was the most unbelievable and amazing experience of a lifetime. Our tour guides were so knowledgeable about everything having to do with Juneau, Alaska, and the Mendenhall glacier. These 5 hours made our entire week and vacation in Alaska !

Excellent experience! Our guides Casey and Joey were friendly and knowledgable. The canoe trips out and back went quickly, and our guides did a nice job pointing out noteworthy wildlife and geographic features. Once we reached Mendenhall Glacier, they gave us a super-helpful safety briefing showing us how to properly walk on the ice. Our guides gave us plenty of time to savor walking onto the glacier as well as exploring an ice cave. We had much more time on the ice than on a helicopter tour. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see a glacier up close.

This excursion was recommended by a friend and we are so happy we booked it. Our guides Ben & Cassie are the best! They were attentive, fun, and made us feel safe and secure at all times. If it wasn’t for them the excursion wouldn’t have been as amazing as it was. Because although the glacier is breathtaking the guides leading and attending to us made the experience easy and effortless. I highly recommend this excursion with liquid. Words can not explain the beauty of the glacier, it is unreal and will either leave you speechless or screaming of joy like I did. And don’t be intimidated by the canoe ride, with Ben and Casie it isn’t difficult and goes by quick.

Screaming with joy! We love when that happens! There are few people in this world that experience a glacier up close. It is quite amazing. We are so happy you felt safe and enjoyed your time with our guides. Thank you.
