Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour

Overview
Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. We are on a “once in a lifetime trip” to Alaska. The canoe trip and trek on the glacier exceeded our expectations. The guides provided all equipment needed and transportation from downtown. Thanks Mo and Ali for making it a great excursion! The Mendenhalls

Everything about this tour was amazing, but our two guides are the reason I'm sitting down to write my first TripAdvisor review. We took several different tours/excursions in several different cities during our recent visit to Alaska, and it quickly became apparent to us how important the guides are to the overall experience. On this tour, the glacier sells itself ... it's insanely beautiful, we were lucky enough to discover an ice cave, and the canoe trip across the lake was an awesome experience. However, it was our guides, Andrew and Matt, who really made the experience memorable. Both these guys were professional, knowledgable, enthusiastic, and fun. My wife and I brought our 12- and 14-year-old daughters on this trip (none of us have any glacier-hiking experience), and we felt completely safe with Andrew and Matt leading the tour. It was apparent (before we even climbed into the canoe) how concerned they were with everyone's safety, and they did an amazing job making both our kids (and us!) feel comfortable and safe in an unfamiliar (and potentially dangerous) environment. Excellent job, Andrew and Matt, and thank you again for a very memorable tour.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review! We work hard to provide a once in a lifetime tour, that will leave you with the best memories of Alaska. The guides put a lot of passion into their work, and we are all so thrilled when we hear great feedback! Andrew and Matt thank you and hope to see you again the next time you visit Juneau!
