Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour

Overview
Experience the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness on this 3.5-4 hour adventure to the Mendenhall Glacier. This adventure starts off at the cruise ship docks as an expert guide will transfer the guaranteed, small group on a narrated 30 minute journey to the West Glacier boat launch in the Tongass National Forest. Guests gear up in top quality waterproof gear and after a quick paddle lesson, will launch the canoe onto the Mendenhall Lake to start the journey. Surrounded by steep cliffs filled with Arctic terns, mountain goats, porcupines, and other wildlife; enjoy the serenity of this adventure deep into Alaska. Feel the cool brisk air coming off the glacier as the guide safely navigates the canoe to the best viewpoints of the blue crevasses and seracs on the toe of the Mendenhall Glacier. Be one of the few to step away from the crowds and get face to face with glacier. This Tour is canoeing only and DOES NOT INCLUDE hiking on a glacier.

A must do while in Juneau! Staff is amazing and besides landing on the glacier from a helicopter this is the closest you are going to get to seeing the Mendenhall Glacier. You tie right up to it. The canoeing part is actually fun and Mike is hilarious. The entire staff made sure that we had an awesome day!

We had a great time on this canoe tour with our guide Matt! We had one day in Juneau from our cruise ship and this was the perfect excursion. Matt met us in town and then drove us to the location. It was a beautiful day. They provide rain gear just in case too. It was a great workout and you are rewarded with an up close look at Mendenhall Glacier. We saw some mountain sheep too! Highly recommend anyone look for a fun adventure.

Absolutely AMAZING excursion! The entire team (Kels, Bryce, Paul and Mike) were fabulous. Very knowledgeable about sights, the glaciers, the waterfalls and the lake and surrounding areas. They gave us a nice tour of the city on the way to the lake. We had plenty of breaks for photo ops, they gave us snacks and water with a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate. I always get nervous when doing a non ship excursion but literally everyone working this tour was always watching the clock and was sure to have us back safely to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Not to mention, this tour was a lot less than the ship tours. ALSO, Jason , the super handsome owner was very nice. Theyā€™re running a well oiled machine and thought of every detail we would need. Weather proof clothing, gloves, snacks, binoculars, boots, life vests and water were all provided. Great job Jason. HIGHGLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR and LIQUID ALASKA TOURS
