What To Expect

Key West

Pick up: Depending on your location this will range from 6 to 7:30 AM. Make sure you are OUTSIDE of your hotel/pick-up location 5-10 minutes prior to the time stated. Get comfortable while you travel to the Keys and across the Overseas Highway in our well-maintained coach bus with the tour guide speaking about Key West's rich history and culture. Arrive in Key West around 11:30 AM. Explore and experience Key West for 6 hours. See the town for yourself by walking through the streets. Everything is within walking distance! We give you a map of the city so you can handle your way around. Leave Key West around 5:30 PM and get back to Miami around 9:30 - 10:45 PM (depending on the traffic and the drop-off location).

Seven Mile Bridge

There are two bridges in this location. The modern bridge is open to vehicular traffic; the older one only to pedestrians and cyclists. The older bridge, originally known as the Knights Key-Pigeon Key-Moser Channel-Pacet Channel Bridge, was constructed from 1909 to 1912 under the direction of Henry Flagler and Clarence S. Coe as part of the Florida East Coast Railway's Key West Extension, also known as the Overseas Railroad.

US 1 Mile Marker 0

An interesting landmark for US highways. Mile marker zero notes the start of the highway for the US.1. The US.1 stretches from Key West, Florida, more than 2,000 miles to Fort Kent, Maine, not far from the United States-Canada border. The highway connects several major cities along the eastern seaboard such as Boston, Washington, D.C., and Portland, Maine. It’s also commonly referred to as the Overseas Highway in Florida, as it stretches out across the Florida Keys.

The Double Decker bus ride to and from Key West was really great. The Cuban guy explain and took care of all people very well. We took Old town trolly trip and it was very very bad. Drivers were talking like train birds but not giving any opportunity to take any pictures. Stops were few and all drivers of these trolled were in Rush to finish their job. Even no stop or photo opportunity at most Southpoint. How RUDE can you be? Never ever take this trolly trip.

Key West is a Good 3 hour drive from Miami. The pickup and drop off was great and ontime. The guide and driver were good. No wifi though even though you were given a wifi network name and password - no internet connectivity. Bus was quite comfortable. The seats up top give a good view. You pay extra $20 return for seats above the driver. If the weather isn't great, like on our way back, the extra probably isn't worth it. I did notice that theres more legroom and a middle table in the lower seats. THere's a bathroom on the bus but no no. 2 recommended. The drop off in Key West was in a good location - easy access to most of what Key West has to offer. We didn;t do the trolley or train - seemed expensive for just 5 hrs there. We were able to walk most of it down to the southernmost point and the beaches. Its a beautiful walk but nothing special than other beach towns. We liked the shoppes in the AC near the waterfront - the cuban coffee place had good sandwiches. THe art is amazing. Wifi isn't readily available everywhere. The cuban coffee place had it. Suggest a hat and sandals as it was quite hot. The beach at the Fort Park - forget the name. Was quite choppy and rocky so bring boat shoes. There is a cafe inthe park for drinks etc. Lots of local families. Theres a charge of $2.50 per person to use the park. The Truman museam had a nice garden with a limo on display. Great for pics. Tours are like $22 per person but I don't know if its worth it unless you're a true us president history buff. All in all it was a nice trip but a long hall to see another quaint us city. Not quite the glamorous reputation even the bridge not too exciting. I don't think I would do the 15 hours tour again. Nothing against the city or the tour - just a long ways to go to see same old US harbour townships.

Journey there, having 6 hours at Key West . There is nothing else to say. Coach there and back was comfortable, driver very goid
