We’ve done food tours all over the country as well as internationally. This tour was pretty good. My husband and I were traveling to Milwaukee with our three teenagers for the Bama/Wisconsin game. It was fun walking around downtown visiting various restaurants along with the 8-10 other Bama fans in our group. We started at the famous Usingers and learned a little history of this sausage company. We next went to a cheese shop where we sampled some of the delicious Wisconsin cheeses made there. Then it was to a Biergarten where we tried several different sausages, sauerkraut, and cabbage. A sort of spy themed speakeasy was next. This place was fun because we did a scavenger hunt and were forced to explore all the interesting rooms and displays at this very unique bar. The Public Market was next with some fish and chips. Finally, dessert was at the 3rd Street Market where we all enjoyed some yummy custard. My biggest critique was the lack of water at all the stops. We were forced to purchase our own water/soft drinks at the cheese shop as well as at the Public Market. I can understand alcoholic drinks not being included but we’ve never done a tour where at least water wasn’t served. It’s weird to be expected to eat fish and chips and cheese with nothing to drink with it. If the company isn’t going to offer water at every stop, at least let the customers know so they could bring their own if so desired.
